I am originally from South Carolina, but attended college 12 hours away from home at LSU. During that time I began my battle with anxiety and depression. A lot of my struggles came from playing soccer at a college level and I found that being a college athlete was extremely tough on me mentally. During this time the Lord stepped into my life and transformed me! My junior year of college, the Lord asked me to give up my identity of being a soccer player and put on the new identity He had given me as His daughter. Over the past few years it has been pure joy getting to build my relationship with the Lord. He is constantly asking me to step out of my comfort zone, but I have found that He does His best work when I am uncomfortable.
After college I accepted a job in the advertising field and moved up to Asheville, NC. This past year, I decided to spend time with God in new ways, one of those being through creativity. I especially LOVE graphic design, round weaving, calligraphy, writing and painting. In November, the Lord placed the desire on my heart to start a Christian blog, Revival Blooms. This has become a place where I share my heart for Jesus and all that He has done for me. My goal for the blog is to create a place where women can come and talk about the journey that they are on, and how God is using them. Being a Christian is full of highs and lows and we all need a fellow gal pal to seek advice and encouragement from. I hope to create a space that offers people that!
My favorite part about blogging is being able discover other bloggers/brands and support the creativity they share with the world. It truly is such a beautiful experience! For the future of Revival Blooms I would really love to start creating art prints, stationery and all kinds of fun merch that promote the Lord's name. I would love to take some of the profit to donate to those in need. I also have the desire on my heart to write a book so hopefully Revival Blooms will also be a book one day!
1) If you weren’t doing what you do now, what would be your dream job?
I would love to be traveling the world taking pictures of the Lord's beauty throughout it all.
2) What’s your girl boss tip for success?
Love yourself. Be you gal! Be proud of who you are and share it with the world. You have so many beautiful things to offer.
3) Favorite quote or bible verse?
Isaiah 43:18-19// Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
